RCIF delegate Jared Essig @ 1:25m43s pledges to reduce crime to 2019 levels, and denounces the status quo modus operandi [enabled by cowardice, double-talk, and equivocation] from city attorneys and commissioners that is keeping crime high and is funding police, [accusing copwatch, police abolitionists, Marxist-Leninists, and anarcho-bolsheviks of complicity with status quo] and quotes MLKJr. "Riots are designed to fail [and the rioters know this]. Therefore [the rioters are in bad-faith] and riots are counterrevolutionary".
Regarding payout of $300K to a rioter (peaceful protestor?) for injures sustained during a "encounter with police" at 11:30pm in the neighborhood of the PPA headquarters after it was burglarized and set on fire July 14th, we endorse comment by officer L. Reyna calling for police accountability and reformation of the culture of "vindictiveness" by riot cops that prevented plaintiff Mr. Weisdorf from dispersing as ordered after the riot, and instead left him injured on the ground. Officer Reyna also made unequivocal condemnation of arson, and clear distinction between riot and protest [which the city attorneys and copwatchers all failed to do], denounced the excess payment of $XYZK to city lawyers [who failed their duty-to-care, failed to represent taxpayers, failed to acknowledge the facts of the case, failed teach, enforce, or uphold the law - and neglected to even try]. Says "money could be better spent teaching both police and protestors how to conduct a demonstration or protest".
City leaders have a duty to teach this, which has been neglected leading to a maintenance of status quo funding of police, calls the "riots of 2020 were a successful failure", leading to "wealth transfer from taxpayers to rioters and status quo of police funding" [with nothing accomplished but a murder epidemic and a doubling or tripling of crime.] Qualified endorsement of Copwatch, who say in numerous public comments and write in recent issue #90 fall '23 "the Council made no effort to address the underlying policy issues causing the steady leak from their self-insurance fund, which, you know, is supported by taxpayer money". We accuse Copwatch of also effectively maintaining this status quo by enabling or ignoring crime, while equivocating on riots, direct actions, and protests - which should be distinguished from eachother.
[Instead of the excessive payout of 300K, plaintiff Mr. Weisdorf's $30K medical bills should be paid by the city, but the $270K claimed and now paid out for "fear and humiliation" should not have been paid out, since he voluntarily assumed that risk by his presence at the unlawful assembly and subsequent riot, at which he was present for the express purpose of inflicting "fear and humiliation" on the PPA and damage to its headquarters. He has now effectively humiliated the citizen taxpayers, and police reformers and put them in fear of further loss, while keeping the PPB funded and the PPA intact. This is our position on most other riot related settlements, most of which have gone to plaintiffs attorneys, with a massive additional undisclosed sum going to city attorneys who have refused to argue this winnable case before juries, and are effectively on strike, embezzling their salaries, and participating in an ongoing "riot by government employees"]
Although we agree with Mr. Weisdorf's press release stating that "we have yet to address the bureau’s overly militaristic .. culture", we call on Mr. Weisdorf and his attorney's Gregory and Jason Kafoury et al, to publicly commit to disgorge the funds and donate $270K to Portland Street Response. We call on the City Auditor to otherwise withold the payout and not comply with the settlement, and for the City council to retain new legal representation which will convincingly argue and ask a jury, if it is inclined to seek punitive damages of $270K or some other amount, to award it to a neutral public interest group such as PSR instead of as compensation for "fear and humiliation" that plaintiff suffered after rioting.
we give public comment at 11/1/2023 57:23 endorsing listing "Camping and Monuments" as "areas of concern" in addition to Public Safety and Sanitation. Advocate opening bathrooms year round at civic plaza (where bathrooms are currently closed), and other parks around the city. Statues aren't history, according to AHA, and we will address monuments controversy to the RACC and the Downtown Neighborhood Assoc (rep. Aubrey Russell), and public camping and safety in future communications. Regarding annual report of Portland Parks board
A delegate of the RCIF appears at the City Council morning session 10/18/2023 52:11 proposing an alternative to expansion of liason police officers to Portland public schools calls for training and equipping volunteer teachers with firearms to prevent mass casualty incidents, condemns the profiteering off assault films by criminals and social media companies, which profiteering begets and encourages gangs, assault rings, and blood feuds. Denounces a "cult of war" in popular culture stemming from "manichaen martial dualism".

2020 Police Reform and its Discontents
We oppose crony capitalism and the oligopolies that run much of consumerist culture, without rejecting free enterprise, individual liberty, or the rule of law. Antifa(scistAktion), on the other hand, were a Leninist-Bolshevik front that worked for Stalin. We do not share their goals or tactics, or endorse them. Against actual fascists, we would organize separately and strike together. But they frequently use our three arrows as a false flag to pursue their anti-liberal and anti-democratic agenda of violent revolution and athiest anarcho-communist utopia. But riots are designed to fail; empowering criminals does not bring liberation from oligarchy. Among the "diversity of tactics", the valorize murder and rape, and consciously promote political terrorism of the Montagnard faction of Jacobins, whereas we tend to sympathize with the Girondins. Similarly, we sympathize with the revolutionary socialists and Mensheviks, and promote De-Lenization in EurAsia.
Mayoral Candidate Sarah Iannarone valorizes the Bolshevik-Leninist dictators, legitimizes the political terrorism, and refuses to teach, instruct, or admonish her Rose City AntifascistAktion constituents, and tried to ride the wave of their temporary popularity in 2020. A meme cartoon of her as a superhero with the three arrows is circulating, but neither she nor Theresa Raiford represented us. We supported the re-election of Mayor Ted Wheeler, despite his negligence and incompetence, as the lesser of three evils. We urge Mayor Wheeler and the Council to adopt aspects of Iannarone's platform, especially that:
The Mayor should face his constituents, make weekly public address from the City Hall Portico on Friday afternoons describing his progress. He must stop hiding in his office behind the police and instead confront the public, teach civics, demonstrate civic responsibility and political virtue, argue the case for liberal democracy and the rule of law, as preferable over the alternative chosen by many Portlanders: bolshevik mob rule and the cruel doctrine that "might makes right". The abdication of moral authority and refusal to teach, by the Mayor and City Council is an efficient cause of the crime wave and murder epidemic.
the contempt and hatred directed at him, and expose the viciousness of the pro-criminal, police abolitionist faction, and thereby disempower the malevolent stupidity of the mob and its agitators.
NACAB is a demonstrable fact: Not All Cops Are Bastards, even if most are bullies. Also, Disability is not a moral error: Bastards Lives Matter
Hello!?
We support the agenda of commissioner Jo-Ann Hardesty and honor her decorum and moral courage. We supported 26-217 for Police Accountability. We consider the union, Portland police association, to be a corrupt and possibly criminal organization that has led a police riot for decades, and ought to be prosecuted under the RICO act, or broken by legislation at the State. Our long-term goal remains Police Reform, promoting public safety by the traditionally conservative method of reducing government spending. In this case, that means Defund the Police. This can only happen after the bolshevik-leninists break off their alliance with criminal gangs and stop promoting murder and celebrating rape, and renounce their favorite tatics of looting and property destruction, and stop the misogynistic, ableist, propaganda and the fetishization of raised fist and the brandished gun, and give up the worship of power. The Pro-criminal agitation by police abolitionists created a crime and murder epidemic in Portland, thus empowered and re-funded the police. Now politicians in every county accross Oregon, ran on pro-police agendas while pointing at Portland. Abolitionists set back the cause of defunding the police five years or a decade, all over America. Iannarone and Raiford need to denounce the agenda of police abolition, and renounce the tactics of violent incitement and political terrorism. Hardesty and Wheeler should argue this case publicly. Once this occurs, we can get back to the important work of defunding the police and re-imagining public safety and Rethink Portland
2020-2022 agenda last modified: November 10 2023 09:51:49.
Our coalition includes liberal and social democrats, conservative republicans, constitutional monarchists, democratic and market socialists, libertarians, mensheviks, reflective trotskyites and anti-leninist bolshevik old-guard, and anarcho-syndicalists who observe natural law and can manage to keep dumpsters and windows intact.
We welcome God-fearing gentiles of all ethnic and religious backgrounds, ordinary agnostics, open skeptics, natural philosophers, Palestinian Jews, and Israeli Arabs, but oppose militant atheism, christian dominionism and crusades, and militant Islam.
