Willamette is the name of a Clackamas/Kalapuya village in contemporary southeast.
Multnomah means "downriver" or "lower river". [[wp>Multnomah people]] lived in multiple villages on either side. 
The Native American term for Sauvie Island was Wappatoo Island. The Multnomah people shared [[wp>Sauvie Island]] with other [[wp>Chinook peoples]] under the collective name the Cathlascans.[5] Furthermore, the Multnomah people were considered “[[wp>upper Chinook]]” and spoke the [[wp>Wasco-Wishram]] language.[6]

We admit that our white ancestors and current political leaders have used and are still using these cultural and textual misappropriations from the Jews in support of Christian dominionism.  western expansionism, manifest destiny, and now progressive liberalism.**  
The RCIF accuses the Portland Public Teachers Union, the Graduate Teaching Fellows of PSU and UofO, and others who pretend to value de-colonization of actively undermining it instead:

By declining to do the analysis above, most Americans are effectively complicit with the form of "[[wp>pragmatism|pragmatic]]" christianity practiced by athiests and agnostics like [[wp>John Dewey]] and most college professors, the enlightenment thinkers, by and probably by the inventor of imperial Christianity himself, Constantine the great.  This may be one reason why the Palestinian cause is so near and dear to their hearts: they want to retain the status quo, and therefore translate the doctrines of supercession and replacement into the dialectics of critical reason and historic materialism, or idealism, or whatever.  So if they are unsuccessful at ignoring zionism as an irrelevancy, they'll rally for war of annihilation against Israel in solidarity with the athiestic PFLP/Samidoun - a post-christian Arab movement - or else treat it like a banana republic of the west, rather than tolerating an actual Jewish state.  Since this would be the most revolutionary event of the last thousand years, its existence would create a crisis of legitimacy for the political theology of Anglo-American empire, which is still "a promised land" according to MLK Jr., Barack Obama, and the Democratic party.   Jews in Europe have always been an "essential enemy", a straw man made of projective fantasies in order to prevent critical thinking about the Roman empire and is successor states, and this appears to be happening now, again.
 
Although it may occasionally fetishize the "noble savage" (devoid of his civilization), or the "black power" (devoid of his intellect or morality), or "holocaust education" (devoid of Torah or Judaism), this virtue signalling doesn't seek to change the underlying political reality, and instead reinforces it through a soft bigotry of pressure to assimilate and convert.

It is basically white supremacy, now with a diversity, equity, and inclusion program.
